This spot delivers comforting, well-crafted dishes rooted in familiarity yet crafted with care and fresh, quality ingredients. The menu strikes a thoughtful balance between classic comfort foods and health-conscious options, appealing to a diverse crowd—from families seeking kid-friendly staples like pizza and fries to those in search of lighter, vegetable-forward meals such as zucchini pasta and quinoa salads.

The restaurant’s inviting atmosphere feels warm and unpretentious, with a cozy charm that encourages diners to relax and savor their meal. Customers often praise the attentive, welcoming staff who enhance the experience with their genuine hospitality. Its focus on wholesome, flavorful dishes—like the signature appetizer platter, nourishing salads, and unique offerings such as personal mushroom pizzas or tofu steamed vegetables—demonstrates a commitment to both tradition and innovation within kosher dining.

Health-conscious diners will appreciate selections like the Quinoa Veggie Salad tossed in a zesty vinaigrette and the inventive oven-baked omelets featuring fresh vegetables. Meanwhile, the seafood options and hearty classics such as fish and chips offer a familiar, satisfying contrast. This dual approach broadens the appeal, making Down to Earth a go-to for casual brunches, midweek meals, or relaxed dinners.

Down to Earth is the name and the philosophy. Dishes you're used to, made well. Middle of the week is less busy, which can be important. One issue was the flies, door was wide open and there was no mitigation to prevent them coming in. I don't want to fight for my food against the pests :(

This kosher (under supervision of JSOR). dairy restaurant is in Allenhurst, NJ. It's seasonal and is open May to October. They have an extensive menu of pizza, fish and pasta dishes. I went with my family there tonight. It's my first time at the restaurant. We were a party of 6. The food is generally very good. However, there were several issues. Guacamole was an appetizer on the menu but was not available. The side dish for my salmon sandwich was either roasted potatoes or a side salad. I requested the roasted potatoes but received the side salad Another person in my party was told French fries were not available but it showed up in the entree. I was told Omlets were not available after 4: this was not noted on the menu. A 20percent gratuity was added to the menu. 15-18percent is usually added. There was also a 4 percent Credit card fee. I thought this was a lot of issues for 1 dinner and as a result lowered it to 4 stars.

Nice looking looking place, busy and very nice staff. The Bruschetta was very good, the guacamole was great but very small portion. The veggie pizza was good and the vodka pizza was very plain. And the zuchini pasta was good.
